Project day for kindergartens, primary schools and students

Three hours of discovering, creating and getting to know the world of bees through experience, cooperation and practical activities. The project day allows children and students to immerse themselves more deeply in the topic, try everything out at their own pace and truly understand the fascinating life of bees and their importance to people and nature.

The programme is always adapted to the age of the participants, and after consulting the teacher, we will be happy to tailor it to a specific group. It is also suitable as a project day within school templates (4 × 45 minutes of lessons).

Programme duration: 180 minutes

Morning hours: approx. 8:30–13:00

Admission: 250 Kč / pupil, student

What will children and students experience during the project day?

  • a honey snack on arrival
  • a meeting with live bees by the observation hives 
  • assembling a beehive as part of the practical activities
  • a demonstration of beekeeping and beekeeping equipment 
  • learning about life in a bee colony and the roles of individual hive members 
  • trying to navigate like a bee and engaging all their senses
  • practical team activities  “bee professions” 
  • discovering bee products and their uses 
  • short films about the life of bees 
  • a creative workshop – making a beeswax candle
  • learning about bee forage plants in the herb garden 
  • observing other pollinators  - bumblebees and solitary bees
  • reviewing the entire programme together at the end

The project day combines learning about nature with developing independence and cooperation, creativity and logical thinking, as well as practical experience. Children take home not only new knowledge and a handmade gift, but above all a powerful experience and a positive relationship with bees.
